Who benefits from Cosmetic Acupuncture?

Does it really make a difference?

A 1996 study reported in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture showed that among 300 cases treated with cosmetic acupuncture, 90% had marked beneficial results with only one course of treatment. A more recent report in the Journal of Chinese Medicine, Number 72, June 2003 concluded that the effects of Cosmetic Acupuncture are striking and long lasting.

However, these conditions can most likely be successfully treated with colorpuncture and acupuncture methods, prior to cosmetic applications.

What is the course of treatment?

It usually consists of 18 to 36 treatments (3 per week for 6 to 12 weeks). Each person responds differently depending upon age, health, lifestyle choices and current skin condition. Maintenance sessions can vary from monthly or every other month, to quarterly to yearly. Since treatments with Cosmetic Colorpuncture are self-administered, unlike other cosmetic programs, ongoing costs are negligible.

How can results be enhanced?

Incorporating individualized herbal and nutritional recommendations along with proper skin care will maximize and prolong the results of cosmetic acupuncture. Therefore, at the start of your program, you will be given two anti-aging tests. One will test for free radical activity and the other for autonomic nervous sysem balance.
