What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a primary healthcare modality that has flourished in China for over 5,000 years. It is used widely throughout Asia, Europe and the United States. It is one of the fastest growing healthcare professions in this country. 

Acupuncture is practiced in all 50 states under specific licensing and registration laws. While acupuncturists are licensed to treat disease and dysfunction, they do so according to complementary pathophysiologic principles and holistic concepts of oriental medicine.
